Conscientization is a practical need in current educational and cultural contents. It offers an alternative to counter the competitive world in the era of globalization. While giving awareness to students, the growing community, they can forecast things and plan accordingly.
JOB INTERVIEW TIPS
An interview is a face to face conversation between two people or more where questions are asked to person to get required responses or answers. The person asking questions is called interviewer and the person answering the question is called interviewee. Objectives of interview are, helping to verify the information provided bt the candidates,helps to know about technical knowledge, creative and analytical skills, manners, attitude, efficiency, boldness, communication skills etc. Moreover interviews prepare a candidate to be creative, attain confidence, improve their thinking ability and eradication of stage fright.
The awareness programme was conducted on 10th December, Monday with 47 students in commerce class.
The programme began with a question answering session to make them feel interested and to maintain a positive attitude through interaction. I asked them, 'what's your ultimate aim by studying?' They replied to get a job. Then I forwarded my concept in a simple, interesting and interactive way. I think all the pupils were curious to know about the tips and threw out their doubts.
Basically when you were going for an interview you have to research the industry and company. You have to prepare to go into every interview with three to five job selling points in mind. When you enter into the room, first wish the female board member. Prepare a best self introduction.
I've concluded the programme by performing a demo to show them that non- verbal communication is also important like verbal communication.
INTRODUCTION
Conscientization or 'critical consciousness' is a popular education and social concept developed by Brazilian pedagogue and educational theorist Paulo Freire. Critical consciousness focuses on achieving an in depth understanding of the world, allowing for the perception and exposure of social and political contradictions. It also includes taking action against the oppressive elements in one's life that are illuminated by that understanding. The term was popularized by Puolo Freire in his 1970 work 'Pedagogy of the oppressed'.
